The show “Tempest Project” is the result of an in-depth research on “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare that Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne wanted to conduct at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord.
The intention was to discover the different levels of meaning of one of the last works of the English playwright, in an attempt to grasp the most elusive aspects linked to the metaphorical world of magic, which are often difficult for contemporary actors and audiences to understand.
There is a word that often resonates in this text and it is: “Freedom“. However, as always in Shakespeare, the meaning is never declared, but always suggested as in a sounding board. Each echo amplifies and nourishes its sound.
The show is in original language with surtitles and the artistic cast includes: Sylvain Levitte, Paula Luna, Fabio Maniglio, Luca Maniglio, Marilù Marini, Ery Nzaramba.
