The Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship informs that the “Homo Faber: Crafting a more human future” event, planned in Venice to promote and celebrate the finest international artistic craftsmanship, is confirmed from April 10 to May 1, 2022.
The decision to reschedule the event was taken in agreement with the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the Cologni Foundation and the numerous partners of the event, primarily to protect the health and safety not only of the operators and exhibitors from all over the world, especially Japan, the event’s guest of honor, present with two significant exhibitions dedicated to the Japanese production and cultural scene signed by internationally renowned curators, but also of all visitors.
The first edition was a great success: more than 62,000 visitors in just 17 days of opening were able to admire no less than 16 exhibitions in which almost a thousand representative objects were on display to narrate the timeless beauty and contemporary value of artistic crafts.
In addition, “Homo Faber” will encompass the opening week of the Venice Art Biennale, one of the most important and prestigious events in the world related to the culture of contemporary creation. A choice that coincides with the hope of giving even more value and visibility to the master craftsmen.
