Organized by Veneto Jazz, in collaboration with the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, as part of the exhibition “Dal Vivo – La Grande Musica al Teatro Goldoni“, this is a unique tribute to the music of the great Italian composer, an incredible journey through the melodies that have remained in the memory of generations, with the evocative power of compositions such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, The Legend of 1900, Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight, Once Upon a Time in America, For a Few Dollars More, Malèna, The Untouchables…
500 soundtracks, 70 million records sold worldwide, six nominations and two Oscar wins, three Grammys, four Golden Globes and a Golden Lion make Ennio Morricone a giant of music of all time. Hence the idea of the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Giacomo Loprieno to pay tribute to the Maestro.
In addition to Maestro Giacomo Loprieno and the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, the stage will be filled with soloists, first parts of important Italian theaters and symphonic institutions, such as Maestro Ferdinando Vietti’s cello and Maestro Stefano Benedetti’s trumpet. Special guests are the soprano Anna Delfino, darling of European opera audiences, who will revive the emotion of Deborah’s Theme from “Once Upon a Time in America” and the violinist of the Circle du Soleil Attila Simon, who will perform the concerto interrupted for violin from “Canone Inverso“. Accompanying the audience by giving voice to the characters and settings is the skill of actor Matteo Taranto.
