Accompanied by aperitifs and appetizers, live music starts again at the Splendid Venice Hotel. Three appointments with soulful voices are scheduled for March 2022.
Realized in collaboration with Veneto Jazz, the “Live Music Aperitif” event goes on stage Thursday, March 10 with “The Soul’s Night” and the trio of Brazilian singer Luca Bright with Ivan Zuccarato (piano) and Andrea Quinzi (drums). Luca Bright is a singer with a vocal timbre rich in nuances that brings to mind the soul of the timeless Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Teddy Pendergrass.
On Thursday, March 17, Stevie Biondi, brother of the famous Mario, will perform the classics of Afro-American music and more, reinterpreted in an acoustic key. The concert will be a special tribute to Bill Withers, great African-American author and performer, voice of “Ain’t No Sunshine“, one of the most beautiful songs of all time.
On Thursday, March 31, Vanessa Haynes, voice of the historic English acid-jazz band “Incognito” led by Bluey, will perform a tribute to Aretha Franklin. Backing vocalist for the legendary Van Morrison between 2008 and 2009, Haynes has collaborated with some of the world’s greatest soul artists: from Billy Ocean (US Tour 2009) to Chaka Khan, from Anastacia (Here come the girls Tour 2009) to Leon Ware and, in 2010, Mario Biondi. Haynes offers a repertoire that ranges from the songs that have made the history of soul revisited and rearranged in his innovative style and class.
