In the spaces of the Complesso dell’Ospedaletto, OGR Torino returns to Venice presenting for the first time in the lagoon the trio of Iranian artists Ramin Haerizadeh, Rokni Haerizadeh and Hesam Rahmanian. As part of the 59th edition of the Venice Art Biennale, “ALLUVIUM” is the Iranian artists’ new site-responsive project, curated by Samuele Piazza.

The works arise from a process of reworking and negotiation, in a layering of conceptual and material levels that add up to create works in constant transformation. The research of the three artists moves from accumulated objects to create a mental and physical landscape, and new narratives.

The exhibition is composed of iron sculptures that hold terracotta plates, which in turn accommodate the artists’ paintings that are the result of a process of rewriting of images taken from the daily news capable of generating a new imaginary.
