In collaboration with “Musikàmera“, the duo Isabelle Faust and Antoine Tamestit perform works by Sainte-Colombe, Mozart, Martinů and Kurtàg in concert in the Sale Apollinee of La Fenice Theater on Tuesday, October 25 and Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
In 1987 at the age of fifteen, the German violinist Isabelle Faust won the Leopold Mozart Competition, and her solo career began from there. She initially had Christoph Poppen as her teacher, but when she won the Paganini Competition in 1993, she moved to France, where she developed the French repertoire especially with the music of Fauré and Debussy.
French violist Antoine Tamestit studied at the Paris Conservatory and has performed at such venues as the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall in New York, and with the Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome.
