In collaboration with “Musicàmera“, a concert by Alexandre Malofeev featuring works by Beethoven, Weinberg, Scriabin, and Rachmaninov will be held at the Malibran Theater on Friday, December 2, 2022.
Alexandre Malofeev‘s recent appearances include a tour of Asia in 2019 with the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Chailly, with the Mariinsky Orchestra commemorating Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s 175th anniversary in St. Petersburg, concerts at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo, and with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
The young Russian pianist’s program includes:
- Ludwig van Beethoven, Sonata No. 14 op. 27 No. 2 Moonlight
- Mieczyslaw Weinberg, Sonata No. 4, Op. 56
- Alexandr Scriabin, 5 Preludes, p. 16 – 2 Impromptus, op. 12
- Sergei Rachmaninov, Etudes-tableaux, op. 33
