Chris Potter 4tet

For the flagship event of the sixth edition of Jazz& is on stage in the Sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice the “Chris Potter 4tet“, the quartet of the celebrated American saxophonist on the tour dedicated to his latest album “Circuits“, with Edward Simon (piano), Scott Colley (bass) and Nasheet Waits (drums).

A world-class soloist, accomplished composer and formidable bandleader, Grammy Award-nominated saxophonist Chris Potter emerges as a light among the musicians of his generation. Potter’s music demonstrates limitless creativity and a vibrant sense of swing, convincing critics, musicians and fans to name him as one of today’s finest saxophonists. The New Yorker speaks of Potter as “a tenor who can remind you of Joe Henderson in his most astute form and who employs his remarkable technique in the service of music rather than spectacle“. With the 2019 release of Circuits (Edition Records), Potter makes a return to rhythm, echoing the music of his underground era and blending a vibrant soundscape of electronics and melodies with unforgettable and surprising turns of phrase, all played with relentless energy.
