On May 16, 2025, the Palazzetto Bru Zane will host “The Pearl Fisher”, a chamber music concert presented as part of the Cycle Bizet, l’oiseau rebelle, in collaboration with the Accademia Teatro alla Scala. This remarkable event celebrates Georges Bizet’s lasting contribution to operatic repertoire, bringing his timeless works to life through the artistry of rising talents.

Though his life was tragically brief, Georges Bizet gifted the world a handful of operatic masterpieces that continue to captivate audiences. His music, steeped in the vibrant culture of 19th-century Paris, reflects the artistic fervor of an era spanning the Second Empire to the dawn of the Third Republic.

This concert marks the fifth season of collaboration between the Accademia Teatro alla Scala and the Palazzetto Bru Zane, two institutions dedicated to fostering the next generation of classical musicians. Together, they will present a selection of arias and chamber pieces, painting a musical portrait of Bizet’s Parisian world.

With their performance, they offer audiences an intimate journey into the composer’s creative genius, reviving the music that enchanted his contemporaries and continues to inspire.
