The Fondazione Teatro Stabile del Veneto–Teatro Goldoni unveils an inspiring new chapter with its 2025–2026 Season, launching a bold three-year artistic project titled “Every story has its beginning.” Curated by acclaimed Catalan artist Javier Jaén, this campaign sets the tone for a season that celebrates powerful narratives and transformative theater experiences across all its venues.
From November 2025 to April 2026, the season offers a vibrant tapestry of voices, stories, and genres. The curtain rises with Marco Paolini’s Bestiario Water (Nov 5–9), a poetic reflection on humanity and nature. Next, Chekhov’s The Seagull (Il Gabbiano) comes to life through the talents of Giuliana De Sio and Filippo Dini (Nov 28–30), followed by the timeless Venetian comedy Sior Todero Brontolon with Franco Branciaroli (Dec 12–14).
The new year opens with jazz legend Paolo Fresu’s Kind of Miles (Jan 16–18), and continues with Eugene O’Neill’s haunting Long Journey into Night, directed by Gabriele Lavia (Jan 23–25). In February, Marina Carr’s Mirandolina (Feb 13–15) offers a bold reinterpretation of Goldoni, while Pierfrancesco Favino and Anna Ferzetti star in the gripping People, Places & Things (Feb 20–22).
March brings Francesco Montanari and Luca Bizzarri in the dark comedy The Pig Doctor (Mar 6–8), followed by Simone Cristicchi’s spiritual journey Franciscus (Mar 20–22), and the touching family drama Neighbors with Amanda Sandrelli and Gigio Alberti (Mar 27–29). Rounding out the season, Familie Flötz’s physical theater gem Parties (Apr 10–12) and Luca Barbareschi’s political satire November (Apr 17–19) promise compelling closings.
This season is a tribute to beginnings—of stories, of change, and of community.
