On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the magnificent setting of the 17th-century Teatro Malibran, the 82nd Venice International Film Festival will host the world premiere of a revolutionary project: LIVE MUSIC. LIVING FILMS. – an Interactive AI Movie that is born from music and transforms in real time with every performance.
The concept is simple yet groundbreaking: every great musical composition contains an inner vision, a world imagined by the composer and reinterpreted by musicians. OOVIE Studios turns that vision into a living cinematic experience, where artificial intelligence generates images that evolve dynamically alongside the live music. The inspiration traces back to Disney’s legendary Fantasia and its tagline: “Music to see, images to hear.”
This premiere will feature a performance by Maxim Vengerov, one of the world’s foremost violinists, together with LaFil Filarmonica di Milano, under the direction of Marco Seco. The program includes Ravel’s fiery Tzigane and Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5, pieces that will not only be heard but also seen as they inspire visuals created live on stage.
The interactive film is the work of OOVIE Studios in collaboration with visionary AI artists Dustin Hollywood and Reza Sixo Safai, whose cutting-edge artistry pushes the boundaries between cinema, technology, and performance.
With LIVE MUSIC. LIVING FILMS., the Venice Film Festival welcomes a bold fusion of concert and cinema: a multisensory journey where music, image, and artificial intelligence unite to create a work that is never the same twice.
