From September 13th to 21st, 2025, Venice, Murano, and Mestre will once again shine with brilliance and creativity as the ninth edition of The Venice Glass Week unfolds. This international festival, entirely dedicated to artistic glass, returns with an evocative theme: #TheMagicOfGlass — a celebration of the wonder, enchantment, and timeless beauty of a material shaped by fire and transformed into art.
Glass has always carried something magical: suspended between tradition and innovation, it embodies centuries of craftsmanship while continuing to inspire contemporary creativity. Each piece is a fusion of alchemy and artistry, a dialogue between past and future.
This year’s festival has reached a new milestone, recording the highest number of applications ever, with proposals from 54 countries around the world. Exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops, and guided tours will showcase the extraordinary versatility of glass as both a medium of tradition and a vehicle for innovation.
The projects were carefully selected by the Scientific Committee, chaired by Venetian glass historian Rosa Barovier Mentasti, alongside international experts including Nina Alessandri, Cristina Beltrami, Jean Blanchaert, Rainald Franz, Mikkel Hammer Elming, Susanne Jøker Johnsen, Cristina Tonini, and Alma Zevi.
Whether in the historical furnaces of Murano, the artistic spaces of Venice, or the vibrant venues of Mestre, The Venice Glass Week 2025 promises to enchant visitors with a spectacular program. Mark your calendars and experience #TheMagicOfGlass — where fire, tradition, and imagination merge into pure beauty.
