On October 10, 2025, the Sale Apollinee of La Fenice Opera House will host an evocative recital by Silvana Torto and Filippo Faes, in collaboration with Musikàmera. The program brings together some of the most refined pages of French music, where poetry and melody merge in a luminous dialogue between voice and piano.
The evening will unfold through the delicate soundscapes of Gabriel Fauré and Claude Debussy, including Mandoline, Green, En sourdine, C’est l’extase, and Clair de lune. Debussy’s Suite bergamasque enriches the program with its shimmering piano textures, while Fauré’s subtle harmonies evoke the dreamlike atmosphere of Verlaine’s verses. The recital continues with Ravel’s Ondine, a masterpiece of pianistic imagination, and Duparc’s immortal L’invitation au voyage. *Ernest Chausson’s Sérénade italienne and *Charles Gounod’s Venise add charm and grace, before closing with **Reynaldo Hahn’s cycle Venezia – Chansons en dialecte vénitien, a sparkling homage to the lagoon city.
Silvana Torto, a versatile soprano, is admired for her clear timbre and expressive artistry. After studying in Italy and abroad, she has performed across Europe in both opera and chamber music, with a particular affinity for the French repertoire.
Filippo Faes, pianist and conductor, is recognized for his sensitive interpretations and deep musical insight. A passionate chamber musician, he collaborates regularly with renowned singers and instrumentalists, while also conducting orchestras in Italy and internationally.
Together, Torto and Faes promise an evening of rare refinement, where Venice becomes the stage for the enchantment of French mélodie.
