On October 10 and 11, 2025, the Malibran Theater will host the European premiere of Hashtag Déclic, the latest creation by Pockemon Crew, one of the most acclaimed hip hop companies in the world.
Founded in the late 1990s on the esplanade of the Lyon Opera, Pockemon Crew quickly became a global phenomenon. Under the artistic direction of Riyad Fghani, the company has won the most prestigious international competitions and continues to bring its explosive, inventive energy to stages worldwide.
With Hashtag Déclic, the dancers turn their gaze toward two themes that have long intrigued them: the omnipresence of social networks and the roots of hip hop dance. Everyday gestures of our hyperconnected age—scrolling, swiping, walking distractedly while staring at a smartphone—are transposed into movement, transformed into choreography that reflects both humor and critique. At the same time, the production revisits the origins of emblematic steps, reconnecting with the essence of a dance born from urban expression.
The performance brings together a vibrant cast: Karim Beddaoudia, Ismail Benali, Kevin Berriche, Megan Deprez, Antoine Lebigre, Bastien Roux, Pascal Wadriako, and Gérard Xozame, with assistant choreography by Kevin Berriche and original music by Alice Orpheus.
Produced by Association Qui fait ça? Kiffer ça! – Pockemon Crew Company with the support of Théâtre Théo Argence, Ville de Saint-Priest, and Salle Désirée Vallette – Mairie de St. Vallier, this one-hour show promises an experience that is at once dazzling, playful, and thought-provoking.
