The Venice Hospitality Challenge returns for its 12th edition on Saturday, October 18, 2025, once again filling the heart of the lagoon with the elegance of sails and the prestige of Venetian hospitality.
A true Grand Prix of the City of Venice, the regatta is the only one in the world held entirely within the inland waters of a city, making it a spectacular event unlike any other. Conceived and organized by Mirko Sguario, president of the Yacht Club Venezia, the Challenge combines sport, luxury, and lifestyle in a dazzling celebration of maritime tradition and world-class hospitality.
Reserved exclusively for Maxi Yachts, legendary vessels that have written unforgettable chapters in sailing history, the event pairs each yacht with a leading Venetian hotel, creating a unique synergy between sea and land. Among the participants are some of the city’s most iconic names: Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, Sina Centurion Palace, The Gritti Palace, Hotel Excelsior, Alajmo Ristorante Quadri, The St. Regis Venice, Ca’ di Dio Vretreats, JW Marriott, Hotel Danieli, Londra Palace, Nolinski Venezia, Palazzina Grand Canal, and Palazzo Venart.
Over the years, the Challenge has crowned winners such as Ca’ Sagredo Hotel (4 victories), The Gritti Palace (2), Sina Centurion Palace (2), Hilton Molino Stucky (2), and, most recently, Hotel Excelsior (2024 champion).
The 2025 edition promises another thrilling contest, bringing together Venice’s maritime spirit, world-renowned hospitality, and an atmosphere of glamour that continues to enchant spectators from across the globe.
