On October 25, 2025, the Teatro Goldoni hosts Discovering Morricone, a concert directed by Giacomo Loprieno and organized by Veneto Jazz. More than a concert, it is a journey through words, images, and solo performances that retrace the unforgettable melodies of Ennio Morricone, a composer who shaped both Italian and international cinema.
From the haunting themes of Mission, The Legend of 1900, Once Upon a Time in the West, and Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, to the tension-filled atmospheres of The Hateful Eight and For a Few Dollars More, the evening brings back the soundtracks that have become part of our collective memory. The program also explores lesser-known gems such as Lady Caliph and Canone Inverso, alongside songs written for Mina, Joan Baez, and Dulce Pontes in new symphonic arrangements.
With 500 soundtracks, 70 million records sold, and awards including two Oscars, three Grammys, four Golden Globes, and a Golden Lion, Morricone remains an icon of music history. The Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, Italy’s flagship ensemble with over 600 concerts across Europe, pays tribute with its signature versatility and passion.
Special guests include Anna Delfino, soprano beloved across European stages, and Attila Simon, violinist of Cirque du Soleil, while Maestro Ferdinando Vietti (cello) and Maestro Stefano Benedetti (trumpet) lead the orchestra’s soloists. Actor Andrea Bartolomeo accompanies the journey, giving voice to the characters and landscapes evoked by Morricone’s scores.
A celebration of timeless music, Discovering Morricone promises an evening of cinema, memory, and symphonic emotion.
