a prestigious National Piano Competition
at La Fenice Opera House
Premio Venezia 2025

From Sunday, November 16 to Saturday, November 22, 2025, the stage of the Teatro La Fenice will once again host the Premio Venezia, the prestigious National Piano Competition organized in collaboration with the Amici della Fenice Foundation.

The Technical Jury of this 41st edition features outstanding figures of the international music scene: Leonora Armellini, Massimo Contiero, Michele Gamba, Francesco Libetta, Luca Mosca, and Lucia Ronchetti. Their expertise ensures a rigorous and inspiring evaluation of the young pianists who will compete in Venice.

First launched in 1983 as a regional contest for top graduates of Veneto’s conservatories, the Premio Venezia quickly expanded its scope: first to the Tri-Veneto region, and since 1991 to a national level. Today, it is open to pianists of all nationalities who have graduated from Italian conservatories or advanced musical institutes.

Over four decades, the competition has earned a reputation as one of the most respected awards in the international piano world. Thanks to its uncompromising standards, the Premio Venezia has become a true springboard for new talents, offering winners opportunities to perform in the concert seasons of leading musical institutions.

Renowned for both the extraordinary quality of its performances and the authority of its juries, the competition remains a milestone event for artists, audiences, and music lovers alike.

A celebration of excellence, passion, and the future of piano music — all in the heart of Venice.
