The jump, the launch, the run, the dive, the stroke, the parade, the catch, the kick, the jab. The bodies of the athletes perform the primordial actions of man, refined in the exercise and for the challenge.
Towards Tokyo 2020, a breathtaking overview of the best shots of Japan’s sports photography gotha, in collaboration with Japan Camera Industry Institute. The 50 images selected from the repertoire of 15 authors show the multitude of sports and categories, but above all they intend to pose the key question mark of professional sports photography, or whether to favor aesthetics or news, or create a formidable unicum.

The exhibition is an initiative within the framework of Japan Week in Venice, organized by the Italy-Japan Foundation, with the support of the Municipality of Venice, the support of the Venice International University, the support of the Ca’ Foscari University and the patronages of the Ministry of Italian Foreign Affairs, of the Japanese Embassy in Italy and the Italian Embassy in Japan, of the Municipality of Venice and of the Metropolitan City of Venice.
