On September 25 and 26, 2025, the Sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice will host two exceptional evenings of music in collaboration with the Archivio Musicale Guido Alberto Fano Onlus, marking the 150th anniversary of Guido Alberto Fano’s birth.
The program celebrates the richness of the violin and piano repertoire, opening with Tomaso Antonio Vitali’s Chaconne, a Baroque masterpiece of expressive intensity. The heart of the concert will be Fano’s Fantasia Sonata, a work that reveals the Venetian composer’s poetic depth and refined style. The journey continues with Maurice Ravel’s Sonata No. 2 in G major, notable for its inventive fusion of classical and jazz idioms, before concluding with the evocative and dramatic Suite from Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev.
The performers are two internationally acclaimed Italian artists: Anna Tifu and Giuseppe Andaloro.
Anna Tifu, one of the most celebrated violinists of her generation, is admired for her virtuosity and magnetic stage presence. A winner of the prestigious George Enescu Competition, she has performed with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide, enchanting audiences with her passionate interpretations. Giuseppe Andaloro, a pianist of extraordinary versatility and expressive power, is a laureate of the Busoni and Sendai International Competitions. His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music, and his refined artistry has earned him appearances in the most prestigious concert halls across Europe and beyond.
A unique opportunity to celebrate Fano’s legacy through music, interpreted by two of today’s most brilliant Italian musicians.
