From Thursday, November 12, 2020 “Biennale Architettura Sneak Peek” was launched on the website www.labiennale.org . This new digital project to approach the 17th International Architecture Exhibition (22 May – 21 November 2021) entitled “How will we live together?” is also curated by Hashim Sarkis.
The start of the project was an unpublished video interview with Hashim Sarkis, conducted by the architectural historian and critic Luca Molinari, which was followed by unique videos and images of what we will see in the 2021 edition of the exhibition. This is a unique opportunity to take a “sneak peek” at the exhibition, according to a daily schedule on the website of the Venice Biennale and its digital platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), which will alternate the contributions of the invited architects with those of the countries participating in the 17th International Architecture Exhibition.
“In the coming months – Sarkis said – we will release a series of sneak peeks of the projects, outlining a bridge that will lead us to the inauguration of the exhibition“.
“It will be interesting to see – says Sarkis again – how each participant, in this particular year, will have been able to look beyond their national borders, especially through discussions and meetings on digital platforms, and how these initiatives will then be absorbed in the design and realization of stands and pavilions“.
In a program of five Podcasts, Sarkis will share his thoughts and reflections on the five scales of the Exhibition as seen through the city of Venice, its history and the way it exemplifies these five scales of living together. “Between MOSE and Tiepolo” is the title of the first podcast to be released on Monday, November 16. All the episodes will be available in English on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts.
The program will be constantly updated on the Biennale’s social channels: Facebook: The Venice Biennale | Twitter: @la_Biennale | Instagram: @labiennale | YouTube: BiennaleChannel
