The 15th International Festival of Contemporary Dance (Biennale Danza 2021) directed by Wayne McGregor runs from July 23 to August 1, 2021. Artistic director Wayne McGregor CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) is a British choreographer and director whose work spans a variety of genres including technology, visual art, film, opera and education. His productions are featured in the repertoires of companies around the world, including Paris Opéra, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Ballet and many others.

The program includes daily appointments with international soloists and companies as well as the activities of the Biennale College Danza dedicated to specific training projects that will be included in the Festival program.

The map of the Biennale Danza 2021 is divided into seven steps / times: the live performances with choreographers and companies from all over the world, the installations in the name of multilingualism, the new energies of Biennale College, the rich production of works filmed on the e with dance, collaborations between disciplines within the same Biennale, conversations with artists and new dance commissions. 10 days of activities with over 100 artists, all Italian premieres, two world premieres and three European premieres.
