As a Collateral Event of the 59th edition of the Venice Art Biennale 2022, the exhibition “Chun Kwang Young: Time Reimagined” is open until November 27, 2022 at the Palazzo Contarini Polignac.
Sponsored by Boghossian Foundation, supported by Museum Ground and Interart Channel, and curated by Yongwoo Lee and Manuela Lucà-Dazio, the exhibition is a multidisciplinary workshop of South Korean artist Chun Kwang Young, who has been working for 30 years on the theme of interconnectedness between living beings and the socio-ecological values of their relationships.
In ecology, interconnectedness is an absolute factor for the reproduction and survival of all living things, as well as essential for ensuring biodiversity and improving sustainability under any adverse conditions such as climate change.
This project includes approximately 40 large-scale mulberry paper reliefs, sculptures and installations created by artist Chun and a site-specific architectural structure Hanji House designed by architect and urbanist Stefano Boeri.
