On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Elio returns to the stage of Teatro Goldoni with his brand-new show, “Quando un musicista ride” (When a Musician Laughs) — an evening dedicated to the joy of playing, singing, and laughing through music.
After the extraordinary success of “Ci vuole orecchio”, Elio once again teams up with director Giorgio Gallione and a group of talented young musicians to explore the witty, imaginative side of Italian musical theater. The show dives into that unique and irresistibly comic repertoire that flourished in Italy during the 1960s — a world of songs and sketches born from the genius of Dario Fo, Giorgio Gaber, Enzo Jannacci, Cochi e Renato, I Gufi, Felice Andreasi, and many other unforgettable artists.
These were performers who, with humor and brilliance, transformed the everyday into art — blending satire, melody, and social reflection into a new, free-spirited form of entertainment. “Quando un musicale ride” celebrates that creative energy, bringing it back to life through Elio’s unmistakable voice, his irony, and his deep love for musical experimentation.
With musical arrangements by Paolo Silvestri and performances by Alberto Tartufi (piano), Martino Malacrida (drums), Pietro Martinelli (bass and double bass), Matteo Zecchi (saxophone), and Giulio Tullio (trombone), the evening promises to be both nostalgic and refreshingly new.
Promoted by Spettacolo Live and Veneto Jazz, this is an unmissable event — a celebration of humor, music, and the sheer joy of being on stage “when a musician laughs”.
