In tune with the scenes and costumes of Antonio Petris and for the ten dancers of the Fabula Saltica company, the choreographer Claudio Ronda imagined a sober, fantastic situation, drained of all excess, set in Italy in the sixties.
The essence of the story remains, even if the fairy godmother becomes a skilled dressmaker, and there are neither pumpkins nor Disney mice and glass slipper. Instead there is a young girl, closer to the real world, no longer a victim, but a conscious woman who is the protagonist of her choices.
Ballet is also a tribute to Gioachino Rossini. Part of the music used by the choreographer are in fact pieces chosen from the repertoire of comic operas of the Pesaro composer, rich in the irony that characterizes the Rossinian style.
