Until January 25, 2026, Ca’ Pesaro – Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna presents the exhibition “Gianni Fabbri. Views of Life, Art, and the World”, curated by Elisabetta Barisoni. The show is part of the Salotto Longhena project, an initiative launched in 2016 through the long-standing collaboration between MUVE (Venetian Museums) and IUAV University of Venice, aimed at exploring the dialogue between art and architecture.
This new chapter pays tribute to Gianni Fabbri (1938–2020), one of the most influential professors and architects to shape IUAV’s academic identity. Fabbri’s creative universe unfolds through drawings, collages, and visual compositions where his profound architectural knowledge intertwines with imagination and poetic reflection. His works are infused with personal memories and intellectual exploration, oscillating between study and dream, discipline and freedom.
Fabbri’s method combines pastiche, collage, and quotation, constructing layered visual narratives that reflect both architectural logic and inner vision. Each piece reveals his ongoing dialogue between form and thought—an approach that defined his teaching and design philosophy.
Born in Venice, Gianni Fabbri studied architecture at IUAV, where he later became a distinguished professor and a key figure in theoretical and design research. His academic career was marked by a commitment to bridging history and innovation, cultivating generations of architects to approach their work with critical curiosity and poetic sensibility.
Through Views of Life, Art, and the World, Ca’ Pesaro celebrates Fabbri’s legacy as an architect, educator, and visionary thinker who transformed architectural drawing into a space for imagination and reflection.
