Giovanni Allevi at La Fenice

Giovanni Allevi in concert
at La Fenice Opera House
Giovanni Allevi

On July 8, 2025, the stage of Teatro La Fenice will host a highly anticipated event in collaboration with Veneto Jazz: the return of Giovanni Allevi, the acclaimed composer, pianist, and conductor who has captivated audiences around the world with his deeply emotional and visionary music.

After a triumphant international solo piano tour that sold out in every city, Allevi now presents a new chapter in his musical journey — the world premiere of “Concerto MM22 for Cello and Orchestra”, performed alongside the Italian Symphony Orchestra. Written during a period of profound personal reflection while hospitalized, the concerto transforms the word “Myeloma” into a musical motif, using a compositional technique inspired by J.S. Bach. From this seed blooms a powerful and intimate narrative — anguished, radiant, and deeply moving.

But this is no ordinary concert. For the first time in his illustrious career, Allevi introduces a rich visual dimension to his performance. Through the use of cutting-edge video art, immersive projections, and dynamic lighting, the stage will be transformed into a dreamlike and surreal world, blurring the boundaries between sound and image.

Beloved by younger generations for his originality and emotional honesty, Giovanni Allevi continues to redefine contemporary classical music. This evening at La Fenice promises not only to be a musical revelation but a full multisensory experience, where music and visual art converge in a celebration of human resilience, imagination, and beauty.
