Now in its 11th edition, the Grand Concerto for the Immacolata is the traditional charity event that opens the events of the Venetian Christmas.
In the magnificent setting of the Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo (Saints John and Paul), the large Gothic church rich in artworks and burial place of 25 Doges, the Cappella Marciana of the Patriarchal Basilica of San Marco, one of the oldest choir and musical institutions in the world with a flourishing historical past and a tradition marked by great composers, in collaboration with Polifonica Benedetto Marcello of Venice, offers an holy polyphony itinerary that re-launches the harmonies emerged along the golden centuries of Venetian music.
The proceeds of the collected donations during the evening will be entirely devolved to the project of the AVSI Tents Campaign, centered on supporting refugees from South Sudan, Syria and Iranian Kazakhstan. To support the project of AVSI Tents Campaign you can make a donation during the concert or you can become a member of the Immacolata Association of Venice.
