The international artist Helidon Xhixha returns to the lagoon city with a new project. The Albanian artist is known throughout the world for his stainless steel sculptures and in 2019 he brought the project “The Twin Bottles. Message in the bottle”. This time it features: “Light, the Renaissance of Venice”.

Seven installations will find space at the “Tese dell’Arsenale” in Venice. The project is curated by Michele Bonuomo, promoted by IMAGO Art Gallery of Lugano, with the patronage of the Municipality of Venice, the collaboration of Vela Spa and with the coordination of Sinergia.

In Helidon Xhixha’s sculptures the weight of steel becomes mobile and light until it disappears. An unstoppable dynamic process, made evident by the reflections collected and relaunched by the mirror surfaces, characterizes his sculptures. The effect of doubling and estrangement triggered reaches exhilarating levels with the scene, light and space of a magical city like Venice.
