“Le Sagome” sets up and stages a work on madness that lies behind the mask of the most unscrupulous psychopathy, falsely empathic, calculating, and with an irresistible charm. In the contemporary dimension of the Opera theater, “The Lively Wife” is an exercise in style that wants to musically restore the current narcissistic drift and apathy that weaken true feelings, in a playful drama that almost wants to absolve from the most hidden temptations of that same madness.
The libretto, the music and the direction is by Guglielmo Bianco, the conductor is Giorgio Fabbri, the set design is by Marco Baradel, the light design is by Stefano Lupicano, the costumes are by Maria Laura Ammattatelli, the set-up and the orchestra are by the company “Le Sagome”. The entire performance lasts about 2.20 hours.
