London Bridge in Ca' Pesaro Museum
The exhibition of Young British Artists

The exhibition presents 14 authors of the young London generation according to the different artistic declinations, from painting to sculpture, from video to photography, to installation, up to performance.

Mostly unpublished productions and in many cases site-specific interventions to delineate the contemporary London cultural landscape, in the post-nineties evolution and in the stringent actuality of its most innovative interlocutors.

The starting point is the Sensation exhibition: Young British Artists from the Saatchi Collection, inaugurated on September 18, 1997 in London at the Royal Academy of Arts. Curated by Norman Rosenthal, Michael Craig-Martin and Charles Saatchi, it featured over 42 artists and is now considered a pivotal moment in international culture in recent decades, especially for the popularization of the Young British Art movement.

London Bridge is a story based on a constantly evolving subject, a work in progress on the cultural ferment that animates the London capital today, the center of some of the most significant European artistic revolutions since the second post-war period and a constant point of reference for the demands of renewal of contemporary society.

With London Bridge Ca’ Pesaro once again renews its desire to be a contemporary museum.
