Maestro Mario Venzago conducts the Symphony No. 100 in G major, known as Hoboken I/100 Military, by Franz Joseph Haydn and the Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 by Johannes Brahms.
Mario Venzago is a Swiss conductor and since 2010 he is the Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Bern Symphony Orchestra. He began his musical studies in piano at the Conservatory and University of Zurich, completing his conducting studies with Hans Swarowsky in Vienna.
Mario Venzago regularly conducts the most important orchestras in the most famous theaters in the world and is very active in the recording field, obtaining numerous prestigious awards including the “Diapason d’or”, the “Grand Prix du Disque” twice and the “Edison Prize”.
