Venice returns to host an international trade fair event dedicated to boating and the exhibition venue will be at the Venice Arsenal. In addition to the commercial activity, typical of nautical fairs, the organizers have expanded the cultural events of the boat show.
The focus of the cultural activities of the Venice Boat Show, within the Arsenale, is the “tesa 113”. The term “tesa” refers to the “industrial halls” of the Serenissima that still today attest to the Arsenale a place of science and production. Subjected to a profound restoration, the tesa 113 is one of the most beautiful halls.
Within the “tesa 113” of the Arsenale, the MUVE Yacht Projects exhibition will present projects of boats of all types and materials, resulting from the selection of the Call for Proposals, organized by the Civic Museums Foundation of Venice, the Municipality of Venice and Vela spa. The same spaces will also host Arena Tech Lab: a place of technical comparison, where designers, builders and universities will discuss real themes and specific projects related to yachting.
More than 70 professionals and students responded to the Call. The selected projects concern the overall design, the interiors, the detailed components, the structure, the propulsion system, etc. Displayed are also some out-of-competition projects curated by internationally renowned nautical design studios.
