New Year's Concert

As per tradition, the New Year’s Concert of the La Fenice theater offers a musical program in two parts: a first exclusively orchestral and a second part dedicated to melodrama, with a succession of arias, duets and choral passages interpreted by soloists of absolute prestige and by the Choir of the Teatro La Fenice. Each year the concert closes with two very famous works by Giuseppe Verdi, cornerstones of the Italian musical heritage: the «Va’ pensiero sull’ali dorate» choir from “Nabucco” and the festive toast «Libiam ne’ lieti calici»  from “La traviata”.

The conductor of the La Fenice Theater orchestra is Fabio Luisi, while the choir master is Claudio Marino Moretti.
