As part of the chamber music series in collaboration with Musikàmera, the acclaimed Quatuor Arod returns to Venice for two performances in the intimate setting of the Sale Apollinee at Teatro La Fenice, on June 4 and 5, 2025. The ensemble will present a refined and emotionally rich program spanning three centuries of string quartet repertoire.
The evening opens with Joseph Haydn’s Quartet in G major, Op. 76 No. 1, a luminous and elegant work that showcases the classical mastery of the father of the string quartet. This is followed by Béla Bartók’s Quartet No. 2, Op. 17, a bold and expressive piece that explores folk rhythms and modern harmonies, reflecting the deep emotional tensions of early 20th-century Europe. The concert concludes with Felix Mendelssohn’s Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 44 No. 3, a work of brilliant lyricism and delicate interplay between voices.
Founded in 2013, Quatuor Arod is composed of Jordan Victoria (violin), Alexandre Vu (violin), Tanguy Parisot (viola), and Jérémy Garbarg (cello). The quartet rapidly rose to international attention after winning the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2016. Known for their dynamic interpretations and technical finesse, the ensemble performs regularly on the world’s most prestigious stages and has been praised for breathing youthful energy into the classical canon.
An evening with Quatuor Arod promises a thrilling journey through precision, passion, and artistic dialogue.
