On October 24, 2025, the Teatro Goldoni will host one of the highlights of the Venice Jazz Festival Fall Edition #8, organized by Veneto Jazz: Ute Lemper – Time Traveler. A Journey Through 45 Years of Ute Lemper’s Success.
“Forever is made of moments”. With this motto, Ute Lemper marked her 60th birthday by creating Time Traveler, a project that retraces the milestones of her extraordinary career. Across 45 years of artistry, Lemper invites the audience on a journey through stories and songs, reflecting the stages of her creative life.
From Weimar to Berlin, Paris to London, New York to Buenos Aires, Time Traveler is both personal and universal: a mosaic of music, memories, and anecdotes that traverse continents and cultures. The program features works by Kurt Weill, Astor Piazzolla, Jacques Brel, John Kander, George Gershwin, Tom Waits, and Chava Alberstein, alongside Lemper’s own compositions. Many of her songs are inspired by writers such as Charles Bukowski, Pablo Neruda, and Paulo Coelho, offering poetic reflections on time, travel, and the beauty of music.
Lemper’s artistry has left its mark in every medium: on stage, in film, in concerts, and in recordings. She is internationally celebrated for her interpretations of Brecht and Weill, as well as for embodying icons like Marlene Dietrich and Edith Piaf, and reimagining the works of Brel, Ferré, Prévert, Rota, and Piazzolla.
With Time Traveler, Ute Lemper shares not just a concert but a lifetime of music, dreams, and emotions—a celebration of art’s power to transcend eras and connect human experiences.
