Since 2010, every October the city of Venice in collaboration with Arte e Design Venezia organizes a festival dedicated to design: the Venice Design Week. For a week, Venice comes alive with exhibitions, conferences and meetings, competitions, workshops and guided tours that take place in a unique setting, rich in history and contemporaneity, in a continuous exchange between cultures that meet and confront each other.
In symbiosis with the host city, Venice Design Week is a widespread event, which winds its way through calli and campielli, private galleries and museums, artists’ houses and studios, stores and workshops.
Venice Design Week is also an unmissable opportunity for connection and dialogue between established and emerging designers, international companies, artisans, architects and a curious and passionate public.
During the festival, which will be held from Saturday, October 9 to Sunday, October 17, in addition to the various daily events already scheduled (here the program) you can participate by reservation to special guided tours, organized directly by VDW.
On the other hand, if you prefer to wander around the city and discover unique places, use the map that will allow you to discover ateliers and design hotspots including artisan and designers’ workshops.
