The main protagonists of two exceptional premieres of the Venezia Jazz Festival Fall edition 2021 will be the Cuban pianist Omar Sosa and the gypsy guitarist Joscho Stephan. After a summer of open-air music and gastronomy, for the autumn edition “Laguna libre” is back in a great way with these top-level events.
To host fantastic live shows, the indoor rooms have been enlarged and a high quality cuisine prepared and cooked by resident chef Bamba Barry will accompany the evenings. For the occasion Laguna Libre offers two formulas: concert with rich aperitif at 7pm or concert with fixed menu dinner at 9.30pm. Reservation is mandatory in Laguna Libre.

Omar Sosa will be in “Laguna libre” on Friday 1st October in an exclusive piano performance. Pianist of exceptional stature, capable of breaking down any frontiers with his art, Sosa celebrates the diversity of the souls of music, always cultivating an intimate connection with his roots.

Joscho Stephan’s trio, one of the greatest interpreters of Django Reinhardt’s music, will enter the scene on Friday 8 October. Its roots lie in Gipsy Swing music, a style born in the 1930s. Despite his young age, he has made his way into the illustrious circle of the best gipsy and jazz musicians. At the Laguna Libre he will perform with Sven Jungbeck (rhythm guitar) and Volker Kamp (double bass).
Venezia Jazz Festival Fall edition # 4 is organized by Veneto Jazz with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Veneto Region, the patronage of the City of Venice and the special partner Laguna Libre.
