On Sunday, October 26, 2025, lace up your shoes and take part in the 39th Venice Marathon, an event where sport and culture merge in one of the world’s most unique settings.
The 42K marathon follows an extraordinary route, beginning in front of Villa Pisani along the Brenta Riviera and winding through Mestre to the heart of Venice. Runners cross the Ponte di Barche (Boats Bridge), continue past Piazza San Marco, the Campanile, and the Doge’s Palace, finishing at the Arsenale. Recognized by the IAAF and awarded the Bronze Label, the Venice Marathon is a classic on the international running calendar, attracting elite athletes and passionate amateurs alike.
Alongside the main event, the program offers options for every runner:
- 21K Half Marathon – introduced in 2022, starting in the center of Mestre and ending at the Arsenale.
- 10K – the world’s most evocative 10-kilometer race, starting from San Giuliano Park, open to all who want to experience the magic of Venice at their own pace.
- Family Runs – non-competitive races across the province, designed for kids, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy a day of health, fun, and community spirit.
In the days leading up to the race, Exposport – the Sports and Leisure Fair – will transform San Giuliano Park, Europe’s largest city park, into the vibrant hub of the marathon, filled with exhibitors, events, and energy.
Venice awaits you – run through history, art, and beauty at the Venice Marathon 2025!
