Saturday, April 13 starting at 9 pm will take place in the historic center of Venice through its calli (the typical Venetian streets) the Venice Night Trail 2019. The 3500 registered athletes will have to run 16 km up and down 51 bridges between the mystery and charm of Venice by night.
Along the course of the race will be installed numerous refreshments available to athletes. The race course, although it is marked and supervised by numerous volunteers, will not be closed, so the participants will have to pay particular attention to signage and be careful not to overwhelm tourists and passers-by.
The Venice Running Village is the event’s headquarters, the athletes reception center (registration office, bib number, race pack delivery), the exhibition area and the start point for the various collateral events.
Located in Terminal San Basilio in Venice will be the meeting point of the event, the heart of all events. A true Sport Village for all those who love, live and communicate the sport, in which you can find most popular manufacturers and industry organizations, test the latest market news and meet top runner, participate in interactive activities, etc. Venice Running Village is also the welcome area for athletes, an inevitable stage that all runners will visit to pick up the bib number. The last winner of the race was Simone Gobbo who crossed the finish line arm in arm with his teammate Diego Avon with a time of 58’52”. The world champion of mountain race long distance 2017 Silvia Rampazzo has won the city trail in 1h03’59”. For the winners the Venice Night Trail was pure fun and all the participants appreciated the hard but fascinating course.
