From Dec. 3 to 11, “Casanova Opera Pop” will be staged at the Malibran Theater, a musical-theater colossal conceived, composed and produced by Red Canzian, the former famous member of the musical group Pooh, and based on the best-selling novel by Padua novelist Matteo Strukul “Giacomo Casanova – La sonata dei cuori infranti” (Giacomo Casanova – The sonata of broken hearts). It is an Italian opera, in which the story and characters take shape through the music and words of the songs, written by Bolognese singer-songwriter Miki Porru. To render the epic spirit of the compositions, masterfully arranged by South Tyrolean composer Phil Mer, are composed by the Symphony Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, conducted by Milanese maestro Carmelo Patti. The performance lasts about 2 hours.
