For the “Women Composers” cycle, a concert by Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and titled “Fantastic Tales” will be held at Palazzetto Bru Zane on April 2, 2023.
Young organist Juliette Dillon (1823-1854) devotes herself to “translating for the piano” the fantastic tales of E.T.A. Hoffmann. The artist deploys all her talents as an improviser to retrace ten short stories, chosen from among the German poet’s best-known, thirty years before Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann“.
Regretting the early death of this talented musician, French pianist Jean-Frédéric Neuburger performs music from “Contes fantastiques” by Juliette Dillon. Neuburger began studying piano at the Académie Maurice Ravel in Saint-Jean de Luz. In 2000 he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he received top honors in piano, accompaniment, improvisation on piano and organ, and chamber music. He is the winner of numerous prizes.
