Among the collateral events of the 59. Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition, the exhibition “From Palestine with Art” is the first presentation in the Western Hemisphere of the Palestine Museum in the United States.
The exhibition at Palazzo Mora introduces visitors to the history of Palestine through art, and includes a presentation of 19 Palestinian artists living both in Palestine and elsewhere in the world, exhibiting installations, sculptures, a map of Palestinian history, photography and painting.
According to Nancy Nesvet, chief curator of the Palestine Museum in the United States and curator of the exhibition, the artists will “look to the present and the future” to show “the enduring beauty of Palestine and earn their well-deserved place in the global art arena“.
