With the support of Musikàmera, the violinist Giuseppe Gibboni and the classical guitarist Carlotta Dalia hold a concert with works by Paganini, Tarrega, Castelnuovo-Tedesco and DeFalla in the Sale Apollinee at the La Fenice Opera House.

The twenty-year-old Giuseppe Gibboni from Salerno was born into a family of professional musicians and, thanks to the early teachings of his parents, he began playing the violin at the age of three. Last year he won the first prize of the last edition of the Paganini Competition in Genoa, the most prestigious in the world of competitions dedicated to the violin.

Born in Grosseto in 1999, Carlotta Dalia began studying classical guitar at the age of 8 followed by Maestro Alessandro Nobili, and then passed under the guidance of Maestros Fabio Montomoli and Alessandro Benedettelli. Later she studied with Maestro Aniello Desiderio. She is currently studying under the guidance of Maestro Giampaolo Bandini. In 2019 she triumphed at the Parma International Guitar Competition, a tribute to Niccolò Paganini, and at the International Guitar Convention at the “G. Verdi” conservatory in Milan, with the “Golden Guitar” award.

Giuseppe Gibboni and Carlotta Dalia’s program at La Fenice Opera House includes:

  • Niccolò Paganini, Sonata Concertata, op. 61 – Capricci No 1, 5, 24 (violin solo)
  • Niccolò Paganini / Francisco Tárrega, Variations on the Carnival of Venice
