During the 59th. Venice Art Biennale, Zuecca Project – a non-profit space founded by Alessandro Possati with headquarters on the Giudecca island – dedicates an iconic and evocative exhibition to the Austrian Hermann Nitsch, one of the greatest exponents of Viennese Actionism and one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. For the first time in Italy is exposed the “20th Painting Action“, that is the twentieth painting action realized and presented by the artist for the Wiener Secession in 1987.
It is the only “action” of the artist whose works are part of the same collection, belonging to Helmut Essl, and its exhibition at Zuecca Project is possible thanks to the collaboration with Galerie Kandlhofer and the support of Hermann Nitsch Foundation. Running until July 20, 2022, the exhibition is open in the spaces of Oficine 800, also on the island of Giudecca.
