“Intrecci di Arte e di Affetti” (lit. Intertwining of art and affections) presents to the public the works of four great artists Luigina De Grandis and Mario Marabini, Ottone Marabini and Valeria Rambelli, who lived in Venice in the second half of the 20th century, a period that corresponds to the most fertile and lively period of Venetian culture that began immediately after the war and continued until the early 1970s.
It is precisely in this scenario, where Venice is ready to play a key role in the artistic and cultural renewal of the country, that the different destinies of the artists intersect: Mario and Ottone Marabini, two brothers who have dedicated their lives to art and whose passion was nurtured by meeting two painters, Luigina De Grandis and Valeria Rambelli, with whom they fully and reciprocally shared their love for beauty, and not only.
Their story is also intertwined with that of their masters whom they met at the Academy of Fine Arts (Guido Cadorin, Bruno Saetti and Alberto Viani) but also with that of their friends and, of course, their families.
For the De Grandis Marabini Archive, proposing the works of these four artists also becomes an opportunity to consolidate the memory and enhancement of Venetian culture and art over time.
