On October 10, 2025, the stage of the Teatro Goldoni will host an exceptional evening with Raphael Gualazzi, presented by Veneto Jazz in collaboration with the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, as part of the Dal Vivo series and the 8th Venice Jazz Festival Fall edition.
A multifaceted artist—singer-songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger, musician, and producer—Raphael Gualazzi has earned international acclaim for his singular style. His music blends the lyricism of Italian songwriting with the colors of African-American traditions and the elegance of classical reminiscence, creating a sound at once timeless and contemporary.
For this concert, Gualazzi will be joined by Anders Ulrich on double and electric bass and Gianluca Nanni on drums and backing vocals. Together, they form a refined acoustic trio, capable of exploring an extraordinary range of repertoire. The program will weave between jazz and blues-inflected reinterpretations, playful excursions into Italian popular song and opera, and selections from Gualazzi’s own catalogue, offering audiences a musical journey through his career.
The evening will also feature revisitations of Italian film music, a tribute to some of the greatest composers whose work has shaped the nation’s cultural identity. With his fluid pianism, warm vocals, and instinctive improvisational flair, Gualazzi transforms each piece into a story, fusing tradition with personal invention.
An intimate and sophisticated performance, this concert promises a unique encounter between past and present, showcasing one of Italy’s most distinctive voices on the international music scene.
