From February 11 to 21, 2023, Gioachino Rossini’s opera “The Barber of Seville” will be staged at Teatro La Fenice.
Based on Pierre Beaumarchais’s 1775 French play of the same name, the two-act opera with a libretto by Cesare Sterbini is not only the Pesaro composer’s most famous, but also the opera buffa par excellence. It is still among those most frequently performed in theaters around the world and is also famous for its overture, one of Rossini’s best-known.
The artistic cast includes: Conte di Almaviva Antonino Siragusa, Bartolo Marco Filippo Romano, Rosina Chiara Amarù, Figaro Alessandro Luongo, Don Basilio Luca Dall’Amico, Fiorello William Corrò, Berta Giovanna Donadini.
