Vein Trio 2022

The Vein Trio in concert
at Sale Apollinee of La Fenice Opera House
Vein Trio

The Swiss Vein Trio, with the twins Michael Arbenz on piano and Florian Arbenz on drums and Thomas Lähns on double bass, will be on stage for the Jazz& show on March 12, 2022 at Sale Apollinee in La Fenice Opera House.

Over the past decade the Basel-based VEIN Trio has established an enviable reputation among jazz audiences for both stylistic diversity and technical accomplishment, blending the complexity of European classical chamber music with the thrills and energy of jazz improvisation at its most sophisticated.

All three players are classically trained, and musical leadership is equally shared, creating a fluid, cosmopolitan sound. Endowed with an excellent technique, many influences flow in the veins of the trio members: from classical music, not only studied but also practiced at the highest levels (to mention the collaborations with Pierre Boulez, Kent Nagano, Heinz Hollinger) to the most contemporary jazz, passing through funk, pop, rock.

For years the trio has been playing a refined and modern jazz that stands as an intermediary between classical and chamber music.
