From October 11 to 19, 2025, the city of Venice will once again become an open-air stage for creativity with the new edition of Venice Design Week (VDW). Since 2010, the festival has transformed the lagoon into a vibrant crossroads of ideas, bringing together exhibitions, conferences, workshops, competitions, meetings, and guided tours in an extraordinary dialogue between past and future.
Unlike traditional fairs, Venice Design Week is a widespread event, woven into the city’s unique urban fabric. The festival unfolds among calli and campielli, artists’ studios, galleries, museums, private homes, shops, and boutiques, offering visitors a chance to discover design in direct contact with Venice’s history and daily life.
The 2025 edition is built around the theme Tempora, a reflection on design as a bridge between eras, cultures, and knowledge. Tempora explores the fluid line that connects memory to innovation, tradition to technology, aesthetics to sustainability. Every design object is understood not as an isolated creation, but as part of a collective and dynamic ecosystem—a narrative where collaboration, diversity, and responsibility are central values.
By bringing together established and emerging designers, international companies, artisans, architects, and an inquisitive public, VDW promotes encounters and exchanges that enrich both the creative process and the visitor experience. Tempora thus becomes an invitation to reflect on how design shapes not only objects, but also relationships, environments, and the shared human story.
Venice Design Week 2025 promises to be an immersive journey where beauty, ethics, and innovation converge, reaffirming Venice as a global capital of design.
